Puerto Penasco is where I headed to this time in Mexico. I already professed my love for Mexico when I visited Playa del Carmen last July. Puerto Penasco was a bit more pricey, a bit more chilly and a bit more rocky than other parts of Mexico I have visited, nonetheless I still fueled up on their delicious seafood and micheladas and spent my days sprawled on the beach. This trip was definitely more relaxing and the first time where I allowed myself to just lounge around. I felt like I needed to recharge after weeks of jetlag and the non-stop work month. Nothing a lil sun, salt and sea can’t cure. This small town offers clear waters from the Sea of Cortez and seashell filled sands where you can’t help but look down to pick out the prettiest ones. On the other side of the beach you find gorgeous views of the Sonoran desert which paints the most beautiful sunsets. Although it was just a quick-ish 9 hour drive from Los Angeles, it was the perfect getaway to find peace and fall into a Mexicoma.

As always, a video diary of my trip! Here you find me swimming with some of the cutest & curious creatures of Bird Island.
