70s Feel

Fall fashion is officially here (okay it’s been here but it finally feels like it) and its a full on 70s revival! You may have seen high waist wide-leg denim  popping up all over your local retailers. I’ve generally shied away from anything except a skinny jean and a boyfriend jean, but I decided to pick up a pair from H&M. I felt as though it complemented all the “fall” items I was purchasing. I especially love this denim trend paired with faux fur trimmed coats, boho blanket cardigans, suede leather jackets and chunky knit turtlenecks. Since its way too hot for all that and I was so eager to take these for a spin… I chose this Zara knit mock-neck top. I love the idea of pairing these jeans with earthy tones like nude, wine, mustard and tobacco to give that 70s feel yet with a modern touch. While I may not be storing away my lived-in boyfriend jeans, I have a new found love for wide-leg denim and a reclaimed love for the 70s. I forgot how much I love trends from that era until I saw the pieces at Saint Laurent, Burberry and Chloe. Lusting so hard. I have such a LOVE for the 70s… Penny Lane I blame you! The first time I saw Almost Famous I literally wanted to be her, so at 11 years old I picked up some bellbottoms then too with a flower whole bit thinking I was the ultimate flower child (I’ll try to find a photo #tbt #proof)…I love her vibe and her soul<3.. So here’s an ode to you Miss Penny Lane.
