How to Pull Off Red Eye Makeup
Processed with VSCO with c1 preset

A red eyeshadow look can be a difficult thing to take on if you’re not well versed in the makeup world. You can risk looking tired, high, evil? or worst of all looking like you have a serious case of pink eye. I’ve been absolutely loving the red eye makeup look lately so I’ve been playing with these rusts and rosy pigments since I welcomed the new addition of Colourpop X Karrueche Fem Rosa Palette to my makeup arsenal. I tend to favor very grungy eye looks a la Olsen twins when I do go all out. You can look MK for inspiration as well. To master this trend in a subtle way I think smoking out the shadow and leaving the deepest crimson pigments closest to your lash line or on the outer corner makes this look a bit more wearable.

HOW TO WEAR IT:

Now what to wear with such a bold eye look? I was vibing the pink faux fur  for that sultry rocker touch but you can also tie your hair back wear bold gold earrings (gold looks amazing with these shades) and a pretty dress that’s perfect for fall. (P.S this gorgoeus fall floral dress also comes in PLUS size)

Red Eye Makeup for Fall

I think a crimson eye pops more when paired with shades of green, blush and muted pinky tones, teals, greys, creams and the neutrals shades of fall. Also this look has a bit of warm rust to it so it pairs very well with powder blues and navys (pretty much any shades in blue). For jewelry I think rose gold and gold work the best but as always feel free to experiment. I think an all white look with major gold jewelry would be killer for a special occasion/night out. Here is some more outfit inspo to inspire your wardrobe and complement this eye look.
