Siren of the Sea

Mermaids have been increasingly popular over the past couple years. I think what intrigues us most about these sea-maidens is if they’re real or just a myth. Legends that date way, way back portray mermaids as dazzling and enchanting, luring in men with just a gaze. With supposed “mermaid skeletons” being found around the world I decided to spook it up a bit this halloween (extremely rare for me) and go full skeletal mermaid. Okay, so its not exactly horrific or gory but I couldn’t bring myself to do that to an enchanting mermaid. I picture this deceased siren haunting sailors as they voyage across the Aegean Sea. Deviously eliciting storms and shipwrecks all while running her hands through her lovely hair and smiling coyly in amusement.  I’d love to go with the notion that I was a mermaid in a past life….
